1. COMPOSITION
Each mL contains:
Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride equivalent to Ciprofloxacin — 3 mg
Benzalkonium Chloride — 0.02% w/v
Sterile aqueous vehicle — q.s.
2. PHARMACEUTICAL FORM
Sterile Ophthalmic Solution.
3. THERAPEUTIC CLASS
Ophthalmic Antibacterial / Fluoroquinolone Antibiotic.
4. INDICATIONS
Treatment of susceptible bacterial infections of the eye.
Bacterial conjunctivitis and other superficial ocular infections caused by susceptible microorganisms.
Helps control bacterial infection and associated ocular inflammation.
5. CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to Ciprofloxacin, other quinolone antibiotics, or any component of the formulation.
For topical ophthalmic use only.
Use with caution in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to quinolones.
6. DRUG INTERACTIONS
No significant systemic drug interactions are expected with topical ophthalmic administration.
If other ophthalmic preparations are being used, allow an interval of at least 5–10 minutes between applications.
7. ADMINISTRATION
Instill 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) as directed by a physician. The frequency and duration of treatment depend on the severity of the infection and clinical response.
Wash hands before use.
Do not touch the dropper tip to the eye, eyelids or other surfaces.
Complete the prescribed course of treatment.
Remove contact lenses before application and reinsert as directed by the physician.
8. STORAGE
Store below 25°C, protected from excessive heat and light.
Keep the container tightly closed when not in use.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not use after the expiry date.
