4. INDICATIONS
Ambroxol Hydrochloride is indicated for the treatment of respiratory tract conditions associated with excessive or viscous mucus, including:
Acute and chronic bronchitis
Tracheobronchitis
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
Bronchial asthma with excessive mucus secretion
Other respiratory conditions associated with impaired mucus clearance
It helps reduce the viscosity of bronchial secretions and facilitates mucus clearance.
5. CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to ambroxol hydrochloride or any component of the formulation.
Use with caution in patients with a history of peptic ulcer disease.
Patients with severe hepatic or renal impairment should use ambroxol under medical supervision.
6. DRUG INTERACTIONS
No clinically significant adverse interactions are commonly reported.
Ambroxol may be used with appropriate antibacterial therapy when indicated for respiratory infections.
Patients should inform their physician about all prescription, non-prescription, and herbal medicines being taken.
7. ADMINISTRATION
For oral use only.
The usual adult dose is 30 mg two to three times daily, or as directed by the physician.
Swallow the tablet with an adequate amount of water.
Adequate fluid intake is recommended to support the mucus-clearing effect.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
8. STORAGE
Store below 25°C, protected from moisture and excessive heat.
Keep the container tightly closed and out of reach of children.
Do not use after the expiry date stated on the package.
