PARACETAMOL 650 mg EFFERVESCENT TABLETS

1. COMPOSITION

Each effervescent tablet contains:

  • Paracetamol — 650 mg

  • Pharmaceutical excipients — q.s.

2. PHARMACEUTICAL FORM

Effervescent Tablet.

3. THERAPEUTIC CLASS

Analgesic / Antipyretic.

4. INDICATIONS

  • Relief of mild to moderate pain.

  • Reduction of fever.

  • Relief of headache, muscular aches and general body pain.

  • Symptomatic relief of pain and fever associated with common cold and influenza.

5. CONTRAINDICATIONS

  • Hypersensitivity to Paracetamol or any component of the formulation.

  • Severe hepatic impairment or active liver disease.

  • Severe renal impairment unless prescribed by a physician.

  • Concomitant use with other Paracetamol-containing medicines without medical advice.

  • Chronic alcohol abuse or severe malnutrition requires medical supervision.

6. DRUG INTERACTIONS

Paracetamol may interact with:

  • Warfarin and other anticoagulants, particularly with prolonged regular use.

  • Enzyme-inducing medicines such as certain anticonvulsants and rifampicin.

  • Other Paracetamol-containing medicines, increasing the risk of overdose and liver toxicity.

  • Excessive alcohol consumption may increase the risk of liver toxicity.

7. ADMINISTRATION

Dissolve one effervescent tablet completely in a glass of water before administration.

  • Do not swallow the tablet whole.

  • Take as directed by a physician or healthcare professional.

  • Maintain the recommended interval between doses.

  • Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

  • Do not take with other Paracetamol-containing products.
