4. INDICATIONS

Bromhexine Hydrochloride is indicated for the treatment of respiratory conditions associated with excessive or thick, viscous mucus, including:

  • Productive cough

  • Acute and chronic bronchitis

  • Tracheobronchitis

  • Chronic obstructive respiratory conditions

  • Other respiratory disorders associated with abnormal mucus secretion

It helps reduce mucus viscosity and facilitates the clearance of bronchial secretions.

5. CONTRAINDICATIONS

  • Hypersensitivity to bromhexine hydrochloride or any component of the formulation.

  • Use with caution in patients with a history of peptic ulceration.

  • Patients with severe hepatic or renal impairment should use the medicine under medical supervision.

6. DRUG INTERACTIONS

Clinically significant interactions are not commonly reported. Bromhexine may be used with appropriate antibacterial therapy when indicated for respiratory infections.

Patients should inform their physician about all prescription, non-prescription, and herbal medicines being taken.

7. ADMINISTRATION

For oral use only.

The usual adult dose is 8–16 mg three times daily, or as directed by the physician.

Swallow the tablet with an adequate amount of water.

Adequate fluid intake may help support the mucus-clearing effect.

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

8. STORAGE

Store below 25°C, protected from moisture and excessive heat.

Keep the container tightly closed and out of reach of children.

Do not use after the expiry date stated on the package.
