1. COMPOSITION

Each tablet contains:

Naproxen 250 mg / 500 mg
Excipients: q.s.
Colour: As approved.

2. PHARMACEUTICAL FORM

3. THERAPEUTIC CLASS

Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) / Analgesic / Antipyretic

4. INDICATIONS

Naproxen is indicated for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with:

  • Rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis

  • Ankylosing spondylitis

  • Musculoskeletal disorders

  • Acute gout

  • Dysmenorrhoea

  • Acute mild-to-moderate pain

  • Other painful inflammatory conditions

5. CONTRAINDICATIONS

  • Hypersensitivity to naproxen, other NSAIDs, aspirin, or any component of the formulation.

  • History of aspirin- or NSAID-induced asthma, urticaria, or allergic reactions.

  • Active or recurrent peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding.

  • Severe renal, hepatic, or cardiac impairment.

  • Use in the setting of peri-operative pain following coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery.

  • Pregnancy, particularly during the third trimester.

6. DRUG INTERACTIONS

Naproxen may interact with:

  • Aspirin and other NSAIDs

  • Anticoagulants and antiplatelet medicines

  • Corticosteroids

  • ACE inhibitors, angiotensin receptor blockers, and diuretics

  • Lithium

  • Methotrexate

  • Cyclosporine or tacrolimus

  • Certain antihypertensive medicines

Patients should inform their physician about all prescription, non-prescription, and herbal medicines being taken.

7. ADMINISTRATION

For oral use only.

The dose should be individualized according to the indication, severity of symptoms, and patient response.

Take the tablet with or immediately after food and swallow with water to reduce gastrointestinal irritation.

Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary to control symptoms.

Do not take with other NSAIDs unless specifically advised by a physician.

8. STORAGE

Store below 25°C, protected from moisture and excessive heat.

Keep the container tightly closed and out of reach of children.

Do not use after the expiry date stated on the package.
